Seafood festival

Found some music video from You Tube which was performed at Sandy Point State Park in Maryland.

Wow ! I can't believe how hot the weather is in the east coast. It's almost Fall, for cry out loud! My husband and I were debating whether to go to the Seafood Festival at Sandy Point State Park during the weekend. We decided we would give it a try. If we couldn't stand the heat, we just come back home. I have to be very careful in the Sun because I have Lupus, an auto-immune disorder and the sun light can worsen the symptom. You can visit my website to learn more about my lupus at http://lupusandme.page.tl or my lupus blog at http://mylupusdiary.blogspot.com. The girls are very little so the sun won't be good for them expose to either. I packed my hat and umbrella and a shade cover for the twins stroller and we all headed out to the festival.

We had to take a shutter bus because the parking lots at the park were reserved for the visitors who carry passes. The girls got to ride on the bus for the first time. It was right on the beach. There were so much seafood to eat, but you have to pay for it. We ordered half a dozen of steam blue crab and eat it Maryland way (you dumb the crabs on the table and start hammering, picking, and eating them). We bought the girls chicken tender and they enjoyed fighting over little pieces of chicken that I handed to them. Sometimes, they got a kick out of feeding each others. It depended on their moods!

There were a lot of people and babies as well. We visited different booths and some arts & crafts tables. All we bought was a little hand-crafted wooden spoon from Africa. We stopped and listen to live music performance similar to the on in Video above. Saw dog show and a rock band performed by kids. They were quite entertaining.

By 2 pm we were all tired. The girls had already finished their napped at this pointed. We visited the Lotto booth and spun the wheel. I got a gigantic T-shirt with Maryland pick 3 Lotto Logo on it. I told my husband you can use it for PJ since he likes to wear cotton t-shirt to sleep anyway. He may or may not want it.

We were listening to the Red Skin game on the way back and we decided to stop at a nearby Antique Mall for a short while. We got home just in time to see the Red Skin won the game !

We finished the day by going out to Chinese restaurant with our good friends. The girls behaved so well. I was so proud. Anchalee, the younger twin even let the waitress carry her around as we said bye bye to her, she waved her hand back to us with a big smile on her face. Then Suwan got jealous wanting to be held by the waitress as well but I insisted she finished her dinner first.

Well sound like we had pretty good weekend. I have nothing to complain beside the weather. I hope you had a good weekend too.
