I just wrote an article on "7 Fun and Simple Ways to Potty Train Twin Toddlers" and submit it to Amazine.com, Goarticle.com and Articlerich.com. And here how it goes;
" Six Fun and Simple Ways To Potty train your twin toddlers
There are no right or wrong ways of how parents choose to potty train their child. Some
parents prefer using training pants, some use underwear or even go bared-bottom. Training
twin can be very challenging and quite frustrating, but it could also good since you have
some competition going on between the twins. I too have twin girls who will be three years-
old this month and they are not yet completely potty trained. They are pretty good at
supporting each other-e.g. give each other hi-five and being overly excited when one of them
go potty. They would shout for me to come see the results!
I have tried different strategies to potty train my twins. I want to make potty training
experience to be as much fun for them as possible. Some of these techniques work out better
than the others. Here are my potty training techniques;
1. Reading Potty-training books and and watch DVDs. The twins enjoyed DVD a lot and we
watch it so much and one day a girl was accidentally broke one the discs. They really got
motivated and inspired from the DVD. Many times between and after movies they did their
business right in the potty chair. Check out Amazon.com for many great variety of books and
DVDs about potty train.
2. Rewarding my twins with their favorite things after they peed or pooped in toilet or
potty chair. My kids like stickers, so that what I gave them, occasionally I rewarded them
with little piece of chocolate or jelly bean.
3. Singing and dancing a Potty Dance Song - got a song from Parenting magazine and the girls
enjoy it a lot.
4. Decorating potty chairs to give them their own personal touches. My twins love to paint
and put stickers on their potty chair. They painted it and erased it over and over again.
They also wrote their name on them.
5. Let the twins pick out their own underwear at store. The have fun finding their favorite
cartoon characters like Tinker Bell and Disney Princesses.
6. Mark numbers of time the twins has successfully gone potty. Both of them like this
technique a lot. I divided the drawing board into two part with each of the twins' names on
each sides. Each time they go potty, they would mark one on their side and get to show it
to daddy when he gets home.
I found that my girls do best without training pants or underwear. I just dress them up
with skirts or dresses so that they could easily pull them up and down. We have had 3
serious days of potty training. The girls have been doing such wonderful jobs. Today, one of
the twin asked if she could wear underwear under her pant. I gave it a try. She kept the
underware dry for half of a day until she accidentally peed on it when she couldn't pull it
down far enough.
There are no limit on numbers of creativity parents can come up with when potty train
their kids. Some techniques may work better than some, and some may not work at all.
Hopefully, some of these techniques I mentioned above will give other parents some ideas of
how to work with their child or twins. The most important thing to remember is that your
child or your twins can get confused and frustrated as much as you do. After all, it is a big
transitional process. So if thing don't work out right, take some time off and pick a day
when the kids are in good mood to potty train. If mistake happen, do not blame them, instead
console, hug them and tell them that it is okay to make mistake. It will take time.
I hope these 6 fun and simple potty training techniques will be useful for any parents out
there. I wish you very best on your and your babies' potty training. "
I was a fun article to write and I enjoyed it.
