I thought it was cute when I first heard Anchalee said "Okay" for the first time. I didn't expect to hear that from her when I was trying to console her from crying in a grocery store. My husband, the girls and I were at a Korean Grocery store in Fairfax, VA. We like to go shopping together no matter where we go. Anchalee, a younger twin usually can't sit still very long and she would do anything to get out of a chair or a shopping cart. It depends on where we are.
This time Suwan, the older twin was sitting in my shopping cart while Anchalee was with her dad. After finishing her second treat of gold fish, Anchalee started to cry and climbed out of the cart. So, I asked my husband if he'd like to switch the babies with me. He agreed. I sat Anchalee back in the basket and told her that we would go look at some fish. I said "sit back down in the basket, okay sweety. Then we will go see the fish, okay?" She starred at me with her little cute face and with tear ran down her cheeks. Then she surprised me with her answer "Okay" and a big smile showing off her white teeth. I continued to shop and never did get to go back to see the fish. Anchalee was too busy helping me pushing the cart and picking out grocery. We forgot all about fish!
Suwan was happy shopping and sitting. She just love to pick out fruits and put them in the bag every time we go shopping. She is crazy about fruits. She usually starts her meals with fruits and always asks for more. She would point to her empty space on her tray where the fruits were and said, "more, more, more". I would tell her to eat other food on the tray first before she can have more.
Little things like this make my day worthwhile. I just enjoy every minute of it. I think I'll still keep them!
