Colorful and Simple Toddler V-neck Vest: Finally done!

Suwan is wearing her new vest!

I'd been working on this vest for many months and finally I had just got it done! Actually, I didn't really have much time to knit since these girls started to move around. The vest like this usually takes me about a day or two to finish. Now I can start a new project, Hoo Ray!
I just made up my own pattern in my head. If any one want to knit a vest like this you could try a simpler version like this pattern.

A toddler easy V-neck Vest (fit ages 2-3 years old)

Materials.
- 1 skein homespun Lion brand yarn (color of your choice) or bulky yarn of your choice.
- one pair of # 9 knitting needle
- needle for sew together side seems
Method.
Back: Cast on 42 st. Rib 1x1 for 6 rows.
Next row (right side): K until piece measure 6 inches or desired underarm length. Ending with WS row.

Next row: Wrong side, knit the knitted stitches and purl the purled stitches. (p2, k1, p to the last 3 sts, k1, p 2.)
Repeat the last 2 rows until armband measure 41/2 inches or 10 1/2 inches from the beginning.
Bind off the remaining stitches.

Front: Knit as for back until arm band measure about 1 inch. Start V-neck shape.

Continue working on these 10 stitches without decreasing. Keep working on armband and neck edge in the same manner as pattern. (RS, k the knitted sts. and p the purled sts., WS, k 2 at neck edge, p the purled sts. and k the knitted sts.) Work until piece measure the same as back. Bind off.
Work right side of V-shape neck on the remaining stitches from the holder. Decrease the neck edge in the same manner of the left side by work back ward from the chart.
Sew shoulders of front and back together. Sew side seems. Trim access yarn. Press on low setting if preferred.

I'll be happy to answer any question if you have one. See you next time!
