National Harbor DC Maryland

The twins enjoy making craft at National Children Museum's Boot at the Festival
National Harbor DC/Maryland Cheery Blossom Festival April 9-10, 2011.

Have you ever been to National Harbor Lately?  Today is my first time visiting the Harbor to see the Cheery Blousom Festival.  I thought National Harbor is either in DC or Virginia, but actually it locate on Prince George county, Maryland.  That's the county I live in!  Silly me.  Sometimes, you just didn't pay attention what is right under your nose!

I went with my husband and my twin daughters.  My first impression of the National Harbor was the bike part along the Potomac river and a sandy beach area behind the performance stage.  There were some folks flying kites down there and it looked like it close for the public use today due to the festival.

Love the little kids dancing in Japanese costumes.  There were well prep for the dace and quite cute!  Other shows include sword fight, drum show, model daces and others that we didn't see.

There were plenty of parking space for visitors and plenty of shop  to shop.   There a new Thai restaurant just open called "Thai Pavilion".  They set up the stand out side for the festival and we tried Pad Thai and Chicken Satay with peanut sauce.  Both dishes were yummy!  Would go again definitely.

The National Harbor Shopping Center somewhat reminds me of Bethesta, Maryland with all fancy shops and high-rises.

We stopped by The Children museum for awhile and let the kids explored stuff.  They're going to build a huge children museum pretty soon.

So far, I don't know a whole lot a bout the place just yet.  We didn't get to do much of shopping in the shops except the jam and jelly shop.  What's call again? oh...I remember....Stonewall..I think.  They've got great condiments.  Great for entertaining stuff.  If you go to National Harbor, you've got to go there to try their samplers of jam, dips, grill sauce, dressing, cookies, chocolate and hand lotion.

Thanks for visiting, see you next time after Thai New Years.
