Learning Thai

The girls are watching Thai alphabet music that their uncle sent from Thailand.

These days Suwan and Anchalee are getting so much more active and getting into everything. Today we went shopping for locks and supplies for child proofing our cabinets and draws. But this doesn't mean keeping them off the dinning table! They always find their ways up on tops of somethings at some time.

I was talking to my husband about how different it is being parents these days. There are so many things to worry about. My parents and my grand parents didn't seem to worry about me and my sister. We just went off to places like went swimming in rivers or climbing trees without telling them. No body even asked if we knew how to swim. Just had to get home in one piece or else we'd be whipped.

We had fun hosting Christmas Eve dinner for our friends. My husband kept telling people that it would be very simple dinner. When it came close to the dinner time and he had to cook up the dishes, he turned to me and said "I guess there is no such a thing as simple dinner, hah." I told him that wasn't the case and it will never be a simple dinner. He always works very hard every time he hosts the party. But we do enjoy having people for dinner. The girls love having visitors as well. They love to show off their running and dancing skills. They have never developed any stranger anxiety as far as I know.

The next challenging event for us is going to be a trip on an airplane with the twins. The girls will be close to two years old by then. The flight will be less than two hours. I hope we will keep them quiet all the way. Anyone has any suggestion or advise? I'll be glad to take any advise.

  1. Your twins are adorable. I know it doesn't seem like it now, but you're going to feel like you just blinked your eyes and they'll be teenagers. All I can say is enjoy every minute. My daughter is 14 and took her first plane ride at 2 months old, with many more through the years. Take something for them to suck on for during take off and landing...a bottle, a pacifier, a lollipop. That will help with the ears.

Take lots of video. You will enjoy watching it when they're older. The things you think you'll never forget now...you do.

Thanks for coming by my site.
